Marvi Memon criticizes Bilawal for destroying ruins of Mohenjodaro


KARACHI: PMLN leader Marvi Memon criticized Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) patron-in-chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for destroying the ruins of Mohenjodaro in the name of "Sindh Festival 2014.
Memon said that she could only advise Bilawal not to damage the ancient and historical place.
Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto rejected the idea of destroying the ruins, adding that the stage made for the launching ceremony of upcoming Sindh Festival 2014 would not damage the ruins of Mohenjodaro.

PM youth business loan scheme extended to FATA: Marvi

KHYBER AGENCY: Chief Coordinator of Prime Minister's Youth Business Loans Marvi Memon said the loan scheme has been extended to FATA for the economic development and welfare of the area.

She stated this while talking to the officials of National Bank of Pakistan and tribal elders during her visit to Khyber Agency on Saturday.

Marvi Memon said the Prime Minister desired that the FATA youth should also take full advantage from the loan scheme. She said the people of FATA are protectors of Pakistan and all out efforts will be made to address the problems faced by them.

Marvi Memon favors love marriages

SANGLA HILL: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Young and women leader Marvi Memon has favored love marriage.
Talking with the media at Sangla Hill, she was of the view that real marriage happiness lies in love marriage.
Replying to a query, Marvi said she left PML (Q) due to party leadership’s some polices.
She observed Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif patriotic politics principles, which was the main reason to join PML N.

PM Youth Business Loans to be made transparent: Marvi Memon

ISLAMABAD: Chief Coordination of Prime Minister's Youth Business Loans Scheme Marvi Memon has reiterated the commitment that the loan scheme will be made transparent to achieve the desired objectives.
She said the business loan programme is a fulfillment of the promise made by the Prime Minister with youth of the country during the election campaign, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.
Marvi Memon said that 50 percent loans have been allocated for the females and five percent for disable applicants.
She said that the balloting will be done in a transparent way and 15,000 applicants will be given loans in the first ballot and the applicants who could not succeed in the first ballot will be considered for the coming ballots.

PM Youth Loan to resolve unemployment: Marvi Memon

MURAD JAMALI: Chief Coordinator for Prime Minister Youth Business Loan Program, Miss Marvi Memon has said that loan program would resolve the issue of unemployment in the country.
She said this during her visit to Sibi, Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts, here on Friday. She visited branches of National Bank to inspect distribution of forms for getting PM Youth Business Loan Program and later, talking to media persons at the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader and former provincial minister, Mir Abdul Ghaffoor Lehri, she said that the youth business loan would be given only on merit basis.
The PM Youth Business Loan would be given to unemployed youth across the country, including Balochistan province, she said that merit would be ensured in the issuance of loans. Marvi Memon further said that scrutiny of the applications submitted for loans would be carried out through the State Bank, National Bank and other sources. She said that no corruption would be tolerated in issuance of the loans.

Marvi Memon was born in Karachi in July 1972. After schooling in Karachi, Paris and Kuwait, Marvi Memon graduated from the London School of Economics with a B.Sc (Econ) Honors in International Relations. With internships at Dawn, Newsline, Pakistan Institute of International Affairs, and International Union for Conservation of Nature during her education years, she started her career as a banker at Citibank Pakistan where she specialized in Marketing and Quality Management for the consumer bank. After which she launched Pakistan’s first satellite tracking fleet management concern Trakker, which established her as an entrepreneur and the youngest woman CEO of a multinational firm. Her next assignment led her to advising the President on Media Management. After which she advised on Investments. She served as Member of Parliament from March 2008 to June 2011 as a PML MNA. She resigned from her party and parliament based on principle of not wanting to be part of corrupt and incompetent treasury benches and set new standards in politics. She has recently launched a movement for rights and is galvanizing Pakistanis to reject old politics and embrace clean politics which leads Pakistan into a developed respectable member of the Comity of nations. Her strength is her close contact with grassroots, youth and discriminated populations of society in all provinces and territories of Pakistan.
